Meet Stuart, resident
dachshund!
I am a Certified Animal Reiki Practitioner through the Shelter Animal Reiki Association (SARA), a foster home, rescue volunteer, and a lifelong dog lover.
My passion for caring for dogs runs deep, especially for Dachshunds, a breed I’ve grown to know and love after adopting two amazing dogs through Portland Dachshund Rescue. One of my pups, Rusty, received a Diamond Collar Hero Award from Oregon Humane Society, check out this video about our incredible story!
My cozy, one-level home in North Portland is thoughtfully designed with dogs in mind. It’s equipped with ramps throughout, plenty of warm, inviting spots for lounging, and a secure, fenced backyard for safe outdoor play.
Pets in My Home
When your dog stays with me, they become part of my daily life. My home is shared with Stuart, my own furry companion, and together we create a warm, welcoming environment tailored to the needs of our house guests.
In pleasant weather, we spend plenty of time outdoors in the fully secure, fenced backyard. Indoors, your pup will find many cozy spots to relax, including heated pads for colder days.
Activities & Adventures
Your dog’s stay will be filled with care and enrichment, including:

Neighborhood Walks: Strolls through Kenton, visits to Fang! Pet Supply, and outings to Kelly Point Park.

Play & Relaxation: Time in the fenced yard, lounging on the sunny patio, or savoring a homemade Kong treat.

Love & Attention: Plenty of cuddles, companionship, and tailored care throughout their stay.
Specialized Care for Elderly Dogs
I understand the unique needs of elderly dogs and strive to make their stay as comfortable as possible. I even have a special dog stroller to ensure senior pups can enjoy fresh air and walks without overexerting themselves. They can walk as much as they like and then enjoy the rest of the outing in their very own “chariot.”
Meet & Greet
To ensure a harmonious stay, I require a Meet & Greet for all dogs before daycare or boarding. This allows everyone to get acquainted and ensures your pup is comfortable and friendly with other dogs in my care.
Your dog will be treated like family—whether playing, exploring, or simply relaxing, they’ll receive all the love and attention they deserve!
Energy Healing
In addition to loving care, I offer Reiki sessions for your pup during their stay. As a Certified Animal Reiki Practitioner through the Shelter Animal Reiki Association (SARA), I provide gentle energy healing to support your dog’s relaxation, comfort, and overall well-being. Reiki can help ease stress, promote healing, and create a calm, nurturing environment for your furry friend.
